2011 Awards

This year, together the EGCOA and SGCOA will be awarding a number of leading golf industry professionals for their dedication to the development and growth of golf business throughout Europe & in particular Spain:

Gonzaga Escauriaza

Gonzaga is the President of The Spanish Golf Federation and is a key driving force in the development and growth of golf throughout Europe & Spain. Gonzaga is also a past President of the European Golf Federation and in 1998 and 2000 he captained the St Andrews Trophy-amateur competition that brings Mainland Europe head to head with Great Britain & Ireland.

Daniel Asís

Daniel is the President of Club Manager Association of Spain. He is running the Spanish Golf Managers body being an example of integration of the Spanish managers with the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE).

Joaquín Castillo

Joaquín is the General Manager of Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. The historical club with over 25,000 Members has been crowned the largest club in Europe. For the last nine years Joaquín has developed numerous prestigious golf activities at a European level with the best standards and results.

Ricardo Arranz

Owner and Chairman of Villa Padierna Golf Club, one of Europe's leading golfing resort destinations. The resort has three outstanding golf courses in addition to the luxurious Palace hotel where the First Lady of The United States most recent spent her holidays. The club resort is the largest of its kind in the Costa Del Sol.

TV Channel Canal + Golf

Canal + Golf is the only television channel throughout Europe that is solely dedicated to the production and broadcasting golf. Hugo Costa, General Manager will receive the award on behalf of Canal + Golf
